TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 2 REFLECTION (WEEK 2)

Week 2 (11/07/22 - 15/07/22)

The second week of teaching practice provided a handful of experiences. On 11th July, as per the timetable I have a physics class for VIII D during the second hour .I continued the chapter motion and taught the topic 'Distance and displacement' . The use of blackboard were ensured for better understanding of the topic. Students had done the activities and completed the activity card. On 12/7/22, I have a chemistry class for VIII D.I revised the portions taught in the previous class and ask some questions based on it. I taught the topic 'Speed and velocity' through diagrammatic representation. Problems  based on this topic were also solved .Also in the sixth hour, I went for peer observation by Chinnu. On 13/07/22,I taught the topic 'Uniform and non uniform speed'. That day various activities that could clearly convey the concept was included. I also observe the class taken by Sruthi. She taught them problems based on decimal forms. On 14/7/22,I have a class for IX D and taught the topic 'Ionic bonding'. After the lunch break, I went to observe the class taken by Akhila. On 15/7/22, I have a class at IX E during the sixth hour and taught the topics 'Graph and its uses' and to draw the 'position time graph'. Through accurate instructions students draw the graph and completed the activity cards. A chart containing the uses of graph were also presented. I also observe the class handled by Rita Tomy. She taught them the math's topic 'Mental math and algebra'. I left the school at 3.45 pm after the national anthem.

The classes went well and were according to verified lesson transcripts The students were very cooperative. Teachers were also so affectionate and helpful.
