TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1 REFLECTION(WEEK 2)

Week 2 ( 10/01/22 - 15/1/22)

The second week of teaching practice provided a handful of experiences. On 10th January, as per the timetable I have a chemistry class for VIII A during the third hour I continued the chapter water and taught the topic 'Anomalous expansion of water' .It was an ICT based class. The presentation of ICT video arouses the curiosity of students .On the second day, there was an educational strike by SFI. So there was no class in the school. One the third day, I taught the topic 'surface tension' and 'water: The universal solvent' in VIII.A and 'current electricity' in IX.A. Today various activities that could clearly convey the concept was also included. On the fourth day, as per the timetable I have no class. So I I went for two peer observation. Reshma taught them the math's chapter 'Area of quadrilateral' and Beena taught the topic 'exoskeleton'. Students were actively responding to her questions. On 14th January, government declared holiday due to makarapongal. On 15th January, I have only one class at IX A.I taught them 'Ohms law' and '1ohm resistance's .I was so happy that the students asked me doubts from the previous class. After the remedial class, we left the school at 3.30 pm.
The classes went well and were according to verified lesson transcripts The students were very cooperative. Teachers were also so affectionate and helpful.
